“How pole dancing has made me fab!”

Once, there were five very ordinary ladies, who, by a twist of fate, managed to end up at Bobbi’s Pole Studio Singapore and had their lives changed forever. To put it more accurately, they transformed from ordinary to absolutely fabulous!

“My first encounter to pole dance was right at Bobbi’s when I attended a friend’s graduation performance. I can never forget how graceful the dances were, as I had previously assumed that pole dancing was sleazy. I decided to attend a trial class, and got hooked, because I love fast sports and the feeling of sweat running down my face.

When I attended my first few classes, I realized that I had never looked at myself in the mirror so much in my life! Pole helped me realize that I had neglected myself for too long – looking in the mirror so often during classes made me see that. I started loving myself more after that. Also, MY TUMMY HAD NEVER BEEN SO FLAT IN MY LIFE!

I think pole dancing helps to change one’s perception of his or herself – you can do some spring-cleaning to your self-confidence and start to love yourself more. Don’t be afraid to come alone – I did, and made so many friends who never judged me one bit here!”

“I’d been curious about pole dancing all my life and was shopping around for a good studio. I heard that pole dancing is a really good work out… and it doesn’t hurt that you can look totally hot on the pole. And the shoes! Don’t even get me started on my addiction!

Starting in a beginner stage was really fun! The tricks were challenging yet manageable, and I felt satisfied after mastering each one. Going with a friend helped me overcome my initial shyness, and all the instructors were super friendly and encouraging. I immediately signed up for three classes after my first term!

Pole is amazing because it pushes me physically AND mentally. My muscles have developed faster in a very short period of time!

If you’re considering trying out pole, give Mini-Term a shot. Come to class with an open mind and bring a friend if you’re feeling tentative. Even if you’re on your own, you’ll still make friends with other likeminded girls in no time! And definitely perform at Performance Week – it totally builds your confidence!”

“I was spending time in the gym and got bored, and was looking for something new to try when I chanced upon BPS Singapore’s Mini-Term promotion not too long ago. Initially, I was at the class just for fun, but I ended up falling in love with the sport.

I had no dance background and was having a hard time doing a hip roll because I was so stiff! So I practiced it almost daily, even while blow-drying my hair!! Even within 4 weeks, I noticed changes physically – my body was more toned and I felt more confident. My flexibility also improved with all the stretching!

Even before Mini-Term ended, my friend and I decided to sign up for Beginner’s class back then, and here were are now, 4 weeks into Intermediate 1 and enjoying every minute of it!

If you are thinking about taking up classes, I’d say, don’t think, go for it and have fun. There’s no other sport that works both your body AND sexiness at the same time.”

“Before I first signed up for pole dance classes, my life completely revolved around work and commitments and I just wanted to do something for myself that was fun, girly, and fulfilling. During my first class at Bobbi’s, I was really excited but very nervous and self-conscious because I’d never taken any dance classes like it before. After the class, I knew I’d definitely found what I’d been searching for and that I was hooked on it. It’s put the fun back in my life and made me comfortable with my body and my sex appeal. The more I go, the more compliments I get about my figure! I think every girl should try it… You’ll have fun, tone up, make new girl friends and feel great!”

“I’ve always been fascinated with the allure of pole dance, and how it exudes sensuality and sexuality while at the same time, having the grace of a well-choreographed dance routine.

When I first joined Mini-Term, I felt very awkward and self-conscious, not to mention apprehensive because I didn’t have a lot of physical strength at that time. I just wanted some girly fun, but I ended up falling in love with it!

Not only did I notice a more toned body after my classes, but it changed my life too. Once you know you can nail a trick on the pole, you’re more encouraged to persevere with the obstacles you may face in life as you realise that nothing is really impossible.

I also like how we are all encouraged to let our inner sex goddesses out during the one hour or so in the studio, and not care about what others may think, and this builds up our confidence as well!
